Nemo is a wonderful swimmer, who could win any race against his fellow Serpentine Water Dragons. He can catch anything that swims, so he is never hungry, and he knows all the best places to go. He's beloved by everyone, and always the first one invited to give speeches and put on a good show for the guests of any part. Nemo is a credit to his race, except for one small problem.

Nemo is secretly afraid of water.

Although it is extremely difficult, Nemo keeps his hydrophobia to himself. It is one of the reasons he's such a fast swimmer - his subconscious is continually racing around in an attempt to escape the water that his body requires to survive. He lives in constant terror, fearful that one day his gills will cease to function and he will drown. He knows this fear is irrational, but no attempts at logic have been successful to remove the underlying fear.

He has visited all the psychologists and psychoanalysts he could find, discreetly relaying his fears over and over to countless experts, with no result except a depletion of his stash of gold. Each time he feels he has found a solution, his hopes are dashed against the cliffs of reality. Yet each time he feels like giving up and giving in he manages to rally his courage and attempt one more solution, perform one last try, in the hope that some day he will be cured of his fearful curse of fear.

He is certain the solution will be found. It is only a matter of time...
